Being from Texas where A/C is mandatory from May to September, a RV without a generator is one without a buyer. Even in winter, having the generator on standby using a generator controller means being no waking up in the middle of the night freezing because the batteries are too discharged to power the furnace fans.
Of course, if someone just went from hookups to hookups, that is one thing, but even then, it gets hot in a motorhome, and the roof A/C is needed when on the road.
