Anytime I am running in hot weather and carrying passengers. Without the roof A/C it can get over 115 F back there in a short time, and opening windows to blow through 104 F outside air doesn't help cool it much.
Depends on where you use the RV. Here, tat kind of hot weather might be 8-9 months. Further north in the midwest, 2-3 months. It might be almost never in B.C. and you may never have to run a genset to power the air conditioning.
