How to not exceed weight restrictions

How am I suppose to figure out PRIOR to purchasing how much the dang thing weighs, so I can do the math to see if we would exceed the weight? We have a large family (6 people + 2 dogs), but we don't want a huge coach. I thought we were settled on a Class C Minnie Winnie 31H, but now after posters have mentioned and we have researched, we might exceed the max. We don't even know how to get the accurate info! The salesmen are helpless and no where is there a dry weight published. Am I just confused? All advice and knowledge welcome!

If you know of one in stock at a dealer you can go look at the weight sticker on it. Usually located on the wall near the drivers seat. The CCC is sometimes not published like in this case, but it should be on that sticker.

Thank you. So then what is the equation?
    CCC + ? = GCWR

Somewhere in there you need to know the dry weight on the RV, correct?

Sorry if this is a repeated topic. I've searched through a lot of this forum and the answer is to always get it weighed. But I don't want to drop money on something just to find out later our family is too big for it!
  • Have you actually been in one? I would think that there is a sticker inside the mh that has that information, almost has to. As I recall each mh is weighed before it leaves the plant and the sticker is specific to the unit as it left the factory with all options.

  • Its easy look at the cargo carrying compacity if the total weight of family and goods full rv is over that amount you are overloaded
