You should add your rig to your profile to make it easier to understand question better.
The rig should be wired with 10/2 with ground not 12/2 with ground.
Some rigs require that the shore power cord needs to be plugged into a genset receptacle in the compartment with the shore power cord.
The Progressive unit needs to be wired into the shore power wiring and not connected with the genset wiring.
