It's a fun drive and if you're not afraid of heights and your comfortable driving your motorhome then all will be fine. The problem with doing it in the toad is you have to leave your MH at one end or the other and then you have a lot of backtracking to do. Monterey to Cambria is 124 miles. That's a lot of backtracking to do if you want to see that entire stretch of Highway 1. Or if you take Highway 1 in one direction and then want to take 101 back to your TV, it will be 140 miles back.
There is no way it's pleasant in a motorhome. It's an absolute.
