I drove part way down Highway 1 yesterday from Carmel. We went down about 10 miles past Big Sur and then back up. There were a lot of people out there but the road was not crowded at all. Saw dozens of motorhomes out there all keeping up with the flow of traffic just fine and about 90% of what I saw were rental motorhomes. I didn't notice anyone not appreciating the motorhome traffic. Most everybody out there were tourists and just enjoying the drive.
