I came across there in October and, frankly, it wasn't as bad as I expected. The long bridge has a rhythm to it that I didn't care for and just west of the Mississippi River bridge at Baton Rouge the road is pretty bad for 20 miles or so. Aside from that, I didn't think it was all that bad. I'll be interested what you think of it after you drive it.
