Decided to split the trip, went part way on Saturday and finished up on Sunday. Left Leesburg at 11 on Sat AM, got to Dalton Ga by 6-6:30 Sat night. Stayed at a nice pet-friendly La Quinta. Good roads all day and missed the bad stuff just north of Dalton in Chatanooga and Knoxville. Left Sunday morning about 7:30 and except for a little fog in the mountains, had an uneventful ride on Sunday. Worked well to split it up. Thanks for all the recommendations prior to the trip!
