I am scared!

My mistake. It is actually 3 ft shorter.
Mark. We looked at the Breeze. There were more things we did not like than liked.
We are looking at the Fleetwood Excursion. It appears to be a nice MH, but it does not have the fit and finish of our Tropi-Cal.

I want to embrace the idea that change is good, but I have a difficult time with change.
There are no fixes or upgrades to be done to the MH. We ordered it just like we wanted and have upgraded along the way. If I could just cut off 3ft and side hinge the bay doors.

I like the idea of a cozy MH. Two slides instead of three. No more dancehall.
Back into the garage in one motion instead of 3. Yea, I know that is not a big deal.

I wouldn't trade our 2004 Tropi-Cal T-396 for any newer model unless, they offered a lot to boot. With 128k miles, it has all the gadgets I want and our new paint job continues to draw many compliments. Its running great and will certainly last longer than I will. To ease my aging back, I just remove the setup stuff from the basement before we put out the slides.

We've had our 2004 since it was new and I know everything about it, good and bad.

I'll keep mine and do whatever repairs come along. Seems to me that is cheaper in the long run.

Plus we really like our coach just the way it is.

I don't think you'll notice that much difference going to a four foot shorter RV.

What is the price difference between what you are selling for and what you want to buy? What fixes/changes/upgrades could be done to your current rig for that amount of money?

If the fixes/changes/upgrades are not enough to make you happy, sell it. If they are, keep it.

(If we sold our current rig for a newer rig, it would cost us at least $20K. With that $20K, I can change a lot of things in this rig and add a few toys).

Buying another will give you a good reason to throw away all the "stuff" you no longer need/use.....Dennis

well my DP is a 2001 with 42000 miles. I have owned it for three years now and have replaced everything on the roof, resealed the roof. Changed out both Tv's and added a basement tv. New Cooling unit for frig, new thermostat for a/c. Nothing owed on it and everything underneath is like new still. runs like a dream and no issues with anything. so I am keeping it for the rest of my time on Earth.

I really like our side hinged doors. And I'm not even old....
Going 4 feet shorter, not sure that would excite me as much as a tag axle bath and a half rig would....

Still... our current 40'er is sooo perfect for us, I can't ever see a change happening
