DP vs Gas noise only pertains to the drivers area. Noise in the rear can be very annoying in a DP but extremely quiet in a gasser. Front noise in a gasser is only a problem on steep hills when it downshifts and the rpm gets high. New gassers are very quiet front to rear on fairly flat land and with 22.5 tires the ride and handling is great. I've owned all of them. Freightliner, Roadmaster, Spartan and several gas units.
