I think we have decided!

Both me and the wife like the floorplan of the fleetwood tioga 31M. And used ones seem to be priced pretty good. The highest selling point is the hallway, and bathroom set up. I know that floorplan is also on the thor chateau and older four winds models. (thor stopped making that floorplan for 2014) so can anyone tell me about the tioga? Good, bad, or ugly....

  • We have a 2008 Tioga 31M. Initially, my wife and I liked this floor plan, but after a while, it began to seem kind of small. This is because in fact, the layout of the kitchen does make that part of the motorhome smaller. The layout of the shower and bathroom is better, but with the hallway, although you gain a lot of privacy, you lose a lot of valuable space. I wish the hallway would have been in the middle, as is traditional, but with the shower and bathroom in the same configuration. We now wish we had not gotten this plan. Having the motorhome open from the front to the back would have made the motorhome look bigger.
  • I have a 2004 Tioga 'C' that I purchased new. It's always been stored in an enclosed, heated building. Its been all over the country including AK. But not WA. OR. and the NE states. So far, I've replaced the tires and had regular scheduled maintenance performed where I purchased it. And I replaced the mattress after the first outing. I wouldn't ask a dog to sleep on the original mattress.
  • Fleetwood has a good rep and has been around for years. Enjoy your new rig and see you around the campfires.
