Ice maker problems

I defrosted the freezer the other day and afterwards the ice maker started overfilling the water so we had a solid block in the pan below. I remembered that several years ago this happened to us and we're told to adjust the screw that regulates the fill. I've turned it as far as it'll go to the minus side and we are still overfilling. Any ideas?

Right now we have water in the tray so it must have recently dumped. It appears that no extra water was poured into the bin below so I guess I'll see what happens in the next cycle
  • In 37 years of working on Icemakers in RV's and the stand alone U Lines, I have NEVER had to adjust the water solenoid timing. Are you positive it is NOT the mold that has a crack and the water is leaking out the bottom of the mold? (This is the usual cause).Doug

how would that effect over filling of the tray??
