I'd like some clarity on the California towing speed limit

I just got to California yesterday and noticed the signs that said vehicles towing trailers are limited to 55 mph. I wasn't sure if that applied to me towing my toad (not a trailer) but I slowed down...

This is correct info! When your towing anything your considered a in combination vehicle.
