I still smile at the ones who don't know how to pass. I was on hiway 12 going from Lodi to Fairfield CA. The road is 2 lane with passing or slow traffic lanes. If I had someone behind me I would use the left "climbing" lane and slow down because they were not to long to give cars a chance to get around me. I noticed that this one car was still behind me after several of these. When we came to the area outside Fairfield where it opened to 4 lanes the car roared around me shaking his fist. Not the only one saw the same in ability to drive in northern California two.

Left climbing lane? What is that? I spent 28 years as a cop in California and never heard of it. Those passing lanes on Highway 12 all have signs that specifically say for slower traffic to keep right. If CHP had seen you using the left lane like that you would have got a ticket for it.
