I think you need to check the CA driver licensing laws. SOME weight classes of RVs DO require special license endorsements, IIRC.
Maybe that only applies to trailers, I'm not sure.
Not weight class, just length class. The weight rule that requires a Class B, specifically exempts motorhomes. You can drive up to a 40 foot MH with a regular old Class C license. Now I do think the weight limit rule may apply with 5th wheels, but I haven't researched it in a while so I'm not sure. It would have to be a really big 5th wheel.
