As far as being an OO I did idle my trucks for Airconditioning and at -12 degrees in Wy it is usually necessary for keeping ones butt warm. I also installed a Power Pak and it ran the AC and heater and kept the engine coolant warm and batteries charged. Ever try to sleep in a truckstop going 24 hr/day and have a guy chain and unchain a load of steel or park a load of cattle next to you or have a flat bed and someone with a reefer unit park next to you. People slam doors all night and talk too. I can sleep at home and anywhere the temp is cool with no engine running.
