The Ford engine is a very good engine. I had the V-10 on a gasoline coach I used to have. As for Thor I read a lot of bashing from people that have never owned one, and really I hate that because somebody got a bad coach, then all other coaches manufactured by that company are bad. And that is not true. You can get bad and good coaches with any company.
My friend had a Newmar Dutchstar which is suppose to be a good brand, and it was a piece of trash. Yet I have met others that own Newmar coaches and are very happy with them. Same with Monaco, Country Coaches, Tiffin etc etc.
So if you are interested on a Thor and you are not mechanically inclined, get a person that is to check it out from the construction of the house to the chassis.
