inside engine access

We have a new to us 2013 pathfinder elite, 41 foot deasil pusher. Has hatch in bedroom to acsess engine compartment. Would anyone know what kind of key or other implement used to open the hatch. Looks like the type lock on some drink machines. and help will be welcome.

  • Probably the same barrel key that opens the rear door to the radiator and other things.
  • Or Google opening locks with a ball point pen top! Apparently this is supposed to be doable ,I have not tried it!
  • The two most commonly used RV barrel compression locks take either a Southco E3-5-15 (also fits E3-26-715-15) or an E3-26-819-15 key. Searching on both numbers will bring up numerous sources for replacement keys.

  • If no one can answer your question, contact a Lock Smith. Maybe it's a universal type lock for safety and not security.
Did you look around the coach? Maybe it's not kept with the rest of the keys.
And, there's the option of contacting a dealer or the factory.
