Ideally, if I could find a (2) bike carrier cover that is clear in the center and allows view of the rear license plate solves all my problems and preferred. Check with Camping World - that is where we bought our second cover.
It had clear sections in it, but it sure would not work well for our 2 bikes. After a lot of struggling with it, it went back. Friends of ours also found the same thing and since their bikes were a slightly different size than ours, they were certain it would work for them - it did not.
Above poster recommended a roof mounted rack. When we were younger that is what we used. Now, being a little older and also having a high SUV it was a struggle for us to lift the bikes that high up. For years we used to carry a tandem on the roof and so we do have experience with roof mounted racks. Unfortunately, as we age, changes are necessary.
