I agree with the other posters, keep talking to them. You might try talking to the insurance company in a business manner rather than allowing yourself to get emotional. Just "this doesn't seem fair to me, I did nothing wrong, what can we do to make this right. Who there do I need to talk to to make this right." Call back and ask for a supervisor if necessary in the same professional manner. You can always say no, this isn't right. The claim is probably very small from their standpoint and they probably want it to go away as badly as you do, since each time they have to talk to you is costing them time and money. You can always bring out the big guns like the insurance commissioner later if they absolutely refuse to budge
