Johngg, you aren't going to like what I say, but your only recourse if you think you are entitled to more than what the insurance adjuster is offering is to hire an attorney and file a lawsuit. Unfortunately, the old adage is true: how much justice can you afford? Because each side must pay their own legal fees, you may end up spending $10,000 in legal fees and court costs to recover $5,000, unless the jurisdiction you are in has a small claims court that you can use. Try that by googling "small claims court" and the name of the county and state you are in. Your case will be stronger if you have before and after pictures and an estimate from an unbiased repair shop as to the amount of the damages. Good luck.
