Interstate Power Services Gillette Wyoming

Last Tuesday we were headed up I25 when the check trans light came on. We stopped at Buffalo KOA for the night and I got out my Allison book to find a service center. The closest was in Gillette so next morning I called Interstate and told the lady in service what I had and she told me to bring it on in. When we got there the service manager told them to get right in. They had a tech on it in about 20 min. He hooked up a computer to it and checked out the code and transmission. Said the tranny was fine no problem, the code was that the tranny had lost communication with the engine momentarily and if it did it again to stop and turn the engine off for a minute. Then start back up and it would reset it. As you can imagine this was a huge relief. But to top it all off they didn't charge me a penny, said it was on them. Everyone was very nice and helpful and concerned. You don't often find this kind of service and I just wanted to commend them for it,

  • And this is just another reason why I like the mid-west and the west. Friendly and honest people always willing to help. Nice post.

  • Very common in that part of the country.

Had similar type of service in Buffalo at Jim's Auto & Tire when I needed spring repair on my 5vr.....'u' bolt had stripped threads.
He was closed but I could see someone inside so I knocked on door. Jim answered, checked around and had a 'u' bolt that fit.
Opened up side bay door......yanked stripped one off...installed new one, checked ALL the others on both axles and called it good.
Charge......nada, nothing. Just a handshake and said "Glad to be of help"
