The 120vac does not taper off. The inverter pulls increasing amps to make up the difference and apply constant 120vac.
There will be no harm to the fridge. Food will get warm however.
If you have an on-board generator consider an autostart set to about 12.1 volts.
yes I have gen autostart so will program it now that I fully understand the inverter systems better
Its extremely seldom where I will be letting the fridge run for any length of time without vehicle running or pluged in to SP
Just the odd few hours of sleeping at a rest area or a casino parking lot when on the road
