My rig has a solenoid that is controlled by a wire from the ignition switch and connects the chassis battery, and alternator, to the coach battery. There is a 50A CB in that line. As PT says the microwave draws a very large current, 160A at 12v. This may be enough to damage the solenoid if there is no CB/fuse in the line. Once damaged, the only 12v will be from the chassis battery and that will discharge in a very short time and probably be to low a voltage to run the inverter.
