I boondock most of the year and installed two inverters in my trailer and they are used everyday. The main inverter is a 2000 watt Magnum Inverter and it runs most of the trailer: coffee maker, microwave, etc. The second one is a 1000 watt PSW model which I use for my TV, Direct TV DVR,computer, etc.
Some dealers will install them, I don't think most Rv's do not come with it standard. It will not run an AC Unit, because the AC takes too much power.
Do a search for Inverters and spent some time reading up on them to know their limitations.
The information is out there, all you have to do is let it in.
