i find the whole thing interesting since it's reversed in our family. DH drives happily down the road while I critique the sounds. I did discover that it wasn't the oven rack one time, it was the gas pipe and the oven element. covering it with a towel really helped and I don't keep the pilot light on, so have to take the towel out to light it; no prob. the microwave vibration was another. obviously these sounds bother me more than him or he's just used to ignoring stuff.
