is 11 y/o original spare still a spare?
or do most replace w/ new tire w/ each new set of tires?

burlmart, you do what feels right for you. But as for me, considering the size (lighter weight) of the rig and that the spare tire has been covered, I would not hesitate to keep it as a spare, not to be used permanently....just until the other tire gets repaired or replaced.
