Is an old Class-A affordable to drive?

Mine is 26 years old. I have owned it for 16 of those years. I have done most of my own maintenance. At this point 26 years old I would not be afraid to take it anywhere. As far as price,it should be down 5000 or less. plus where did it come from? If it's a northern vehicle or has been close to the ocean it could be suffering from salt damage. If it's a chevy chassis, There are a coupe of things that can be done to improve fuel economy. Mine gets over 8mpg but like somebody else said if your worried about fuel economy don't buy a motor home. If your handy, go for it if not walk to something newer.
