Is an old Class-A affordable to drive?

About every motor home ever made is not affordable to drive and unless you are very capable mechanically an older unit might not be for you. Some of the more economical RVs today are built on that Mercedes Benz chassis with their diesel engine. Class B and C styles are both using that chassis now and it seems that almost all the builders are offering something on that chassis. Affordable?? Not really. They are pretty pricy but some have been around a few years now and in the pre- owned market are dropping in price. RVs and RVing are not cheap but as you get into it you will learn when, where, and how to save a buck now and then.
