We bought ours when it was 9 years old, and that was 10 years ago. I've had to do some repairs, but the major repairs were due to tire flail damage after tread separation.
Any Class A purchase is going to entail provisioning costs, but with an older MH you will need to expect to replace some components to make it road safe. Tires are always the weak point.
Additional thought about B+ units: a couple of days of rain at a camp site will make you see how small they really are.
BTW: my rig get 5.5 mpg towing my CR-V. Bad for a car, pretty good for a 1.5 BR, 1 BA apartment on wheels.
