Suddenly my mom is very much into getting a motorhome. She's older and has some breathing difficulties, so she isn't capable of much much physical exertion. A motorhome is a way I could get her out of the house for adventure, but she'd still have the creature comforts of home. Then she, myself and my brother could take the motorhome to Florida and see the rest of our family. With 3 people splitting the gas it's not so bad.
That said, I need to put the emotion aside and think of what's going to serve my needs best. Sure, old short Winnebagos have that cute factor, like Herbie the Love Bug did! But I think I should go with a class C, something around 24'. My mother gets the rear suite, me or my brother in the cabover bed, and that leaves a fold out couch or dinette. I think for around $15K I should be able to get something 2000 or newer. Tomorrow we're all going to the big RV show in Glendale, AZ, held at the Cardinals stadium. That will get us excited.
