I haven't traveled a fraction of what you have and I've seen it at least 3 or 4 of them dumping their pail. People are pigs, plain and simple. Granted, saying "truckers" is a generalization, and it's certainly not all of them doing it, but it's not the car travelers doing this either.
Folks, I try and think the best of people always, but I'm also a realist and I've seen people do some awful disgusting and bizarre stuff. Never say never, and nothing surprises me. Bashing someone for suggesting a reason for this is just being naive about what people are capable of.
