Had a very expensive building built specifically to house my MH.
We measured the height of the MH to include the ac unit. Everyone measured twice to be sure the door opening would be tall enough.
Except the general contractor that built the barn didn't tell anyone there was going to be a slight rise to the concrete leading to the entrance.
First tornado warning after the building was built I ran for my MH thinking I was sooo glad to have a garage to put the MH in. Got to the door and something made me get out to just make sure she'd clear it.
Well, the slight incline of the concrete pad leading to the building put that MH at just enough angle that it WOULD NOT go in. Measure from floor to top of door plenty of room, but put that MH on ever so slight of an incline and nada, zip room to pull her in.
So just saying make sure you include measurement to accommodate the entrance.
My contractor didn't. And now I was the proud owner of a very nice building meant to put my MH in which she never saw the inside of. :(
So unless you are running flat straight in with your MH, get your calculator/abacus out and figure just what size door opening you really need!!
