is STICKNBOND the new ETERNABOND

I went to a privet RV repair shop, and to camping world in Kissimmee to day. Both had a product called STICKNBOND. they both said it the new name for eternabond. The eternabond web side doesn't say anything about sticknbond, but other web sites say its the same thing. Is it the same thing???
  • GRAMPS what is a "Gas Pusher"? I thought gas engines pulled the vehicles and DP diesel pushers pushed the vehicle from the rear so quieter in front while driving and more torque. Am I wrong? What rigs had gas engines in the rear so they are pushers?

The workhorse chassis was designed and sold with the supersize GM motors mounted in the rear.

Exactly, the Chevy 8.1 Vortec mounted in the rear. There were not a lot of Workhorse UFO chassis, somewhere around 500 were built, so I am told. Winnebago made the Latitude, Adventurer Limited and the Destination, Monaco the LaPalma and the Holiday Rambler Vacationer XL, Georgie Boy Cruise Master, Forest River Georgetown, and Rexhall made them. All back in 08 and 09.

The Eternabond website does not mention Sticknbond. Eternabond is a divison or Royal adhesives and sealants. Eternabond is still on Amazon as well, so it seems that Sticknbond is a bit of a knock-off product to me.

As previously said, Sticknbond is a rebranded version of genuine Eternabond. There's no way Royal would let them get away with selling a knockoff using an identical label, nor would a company like PPL carry the product and say it was Eternabond in different packaging if it wasn't. Their reputation is worth far more than any small additional profit they might make.
  • My guess there were exclusivity in the patent for a certain number of years and now it is available under different names.

    IMO.

  • I'm updating this thread to to provide the definitive answer to the "EternaBond/StickNBond" question. Below is my message to EternaBond using their website contact form, and their response below it:

    Subject: Product Question

    Message:

Is the "Sticknbond" product sold by Leisure Time Marketing the same "Eternabond" product we've come to know and love for many of our RV sealing needs over the years? There is much discussion on the RV forums about this new Sticknbond being sold by various vendors including Amazon, and whether it's an Eternabond knockoff. Can I get a definitive answer right from source? Thank you from a loyal customer for a great product!

    Hello Dutch,

Thank you for your inquiry! Here is the double sided answer:

StickNBond is indeed EternaBond downpacked for smaller kits and ease of use for small projects, when purchased through Leisure Time Marketing.

However, all EternaBond purchases should always be from AUTHORIZED EternaBond DISTRIBUTORS and their sites, meaning Amazon and Ebay are not always guaranteed to be EternaBond , as we do not distribute directly to them.

I would always recommend checking the authorized distributors section of www.eternabond.com to ensure product integrity/shelf life.

    Hope this helps!

    Dan
