Personally, I've a strong proponent of finding something you like that is affordable and buy it.
I had an engineer working for me that could never make a decision because there was still an unresolved question that another question had led him to. So, he continued to go in circles. I wished him well in his next position.
And as an engineer, I once worked for one like that. Wasn't too long, before he went down the road, as well.
As for buying most anything, I've done a lot of it on impulse and like what you've already learned along the way has now paid off, with just somehow knowing, as soon as you see it. We've bought with the very first one, we looked at, many times and haven't ever been sorry. Always buying used creates a lot of this habit and when you just know, that it's going to take a lot for finding another, in such good condition.
Even people who are familiar with RV's to some extent, can't hardly believe that what we own now, is 18 yrs old.
