Since you won't be doing any of the complicated repairs yourself, I'd recommend a coach from a firm that is still in business, such as Newmar. Motorhomes take a lot of preventive maintenance to keep them reliable, so be prepared to pay for having that work done.
I have a Holiday Rambler, which is now made by the successor to Monaco. The present manufacturer may not have much in the way of service or repair of an older Holiday Rambler or Monaco coach due to several changes in ownership. My coach is very old, a 1993, but I'm very happy with it. In my case I went with a top of the line Navigator. However, a coach this old probably would not be a good choice for you, regardless of how well it was built and by whom.
Several single women in our Holiday Rambler club have Class A coaches (mostly Endeavors) and are happy. Their rigs are from 6 to 10 years old.
