We have one just like it.
As to things blocked when closed up. Sink cabinet and its 2 drawers, 1 of 2 doors on overhead sink cabinet partly opens. We still can access sink drawers but it limits what can be removed. One is utensels and the other is misc.
Bed is not a walk around when closed but all drawers and cabinets fully open. Storage under bed not available when slide fully closed.
Full access to bathroom, couch and table as well as all kitchen cabinets with the exception above.
Ours has served us well including a 3 month trip to Alaska and back.
