Don't get me wrong I love my van. But for the amount of travel you do may be cheaper to hotel it.
I wonder. For instance we recently got out of town for a weekend. Round trip, it was about 600 miles. With the Subaru we probably needed 22 gallons of gas---figure $50. We spent $110 for the hotel and $50 for a dogsitter. $210 total. If we had something like a Roadtrek getting 15mpg, it would take 40 gallons, maybe $90? No dog sitter. Campground cost?
Of course it gets expensive because we have to buy one, insure it, park it, maintain it....
