I don't have a personal mechanic. Must find one. I wouldn't have thought of AAA. And a mobile RV repair? Wow! That would address a big fear of mine. We always go to "ghost towns," which is a bit of a misnomer since some people do still live there. But they may be off the beaten trail nonetheless.
I'm not sure when I got so skittish
As a woman well over 65 who just had to get out of the house and on the road...with the dogs. But I travel alone in winter. I am very conservative when traveling alone and stick to major highways and places where my cell phone is active. Then I can use my computer or tablet to locate what I might need. Altho I have heard people knock AAA, when my husband and I locked ourselves out of the RVan outside of Sauk Centre MN, somebody showed up in about an hour to jimmy the door. No cost to us at all. I have worked out various scenarios for if my RVan breaks in my head. I run thru them before I pack up and go so I dont slip into panic mode. And I do have my RVan really checked out before I leave. To be honest, I have a line of credit large enough so I could buy another used van to get home if needed, or, rent a Uhaul or van. This backup is worst case scenario of course. I got a wheel cover on the back... One Life, Live It.
