Ivylog, I follow that thread on the other website you were referring to. Why don't you get an oil analysis to see if that can give you some info. That's how the guy that is needing is 2nd repair found out that it's happening. MM.
Without a baseline sample to compare it to, one sample is not going to tell me much plus I have my doubts that an oil sample will tell when the valve is about to break. I have ordered a borescope for my phone and there is a 3/4th” plug in the intake pipe going to the head. I’m willing to spend several hours trying to get the camera to the #6 intake through this hole for a look at its stem. Wish me luck as a picture of the stem will tell me more about its condition than one oil sample.
