Lots of different switch possibilities but doubt you will find a three stage Jake bake in a RV. My side counsel has a switch that only says Brake Hi/Low which selects 6 or 3 cylinders of braking. I have another switch activated by my left foot which turns the Jake on. I really like this two switch system as it lets me coast as single switch systems turn on when you take your foot off the gas pedal... assuming you have the system turned on. I added a cabinet rubber bumper stop to my Hi/Low switch so I'll know I'm on it without looking down.
By tapping this foot switch I can turn off my cruise without putting the brakes on.
I have never seen a 3 stage system neither as there never was such a thing. only like explained above in my post. Middle position off, switch towards rear on 3 cylinders and forward position 6 cylinders
its pretty clear what I meant by 3 positions
mine also turns off/on when fuel pedal is either pressed or released
I prefer to manually turn switch on/off just my preference is all
others may vary
well there you go we all stand corrected
My 2003 Magna with a C12 has a 3 stage Jake brake. There are two switches involved. One activates the Jake while the other is three position 2, 4 or 6 cylinders.
