In this case the renter wasn't the issue....the rental was.
Piece of junk MH that owner didn't maintain, rented out at $140/day and refused to pay for break down repairs.

Loved the part where the owner would not pay him back for the batteries. Seems owner wanted someone else to pay for all repairs needed on his unit.

Sounds like the renter should have made a movie!!

Saw it.......never heard anything about CW being involved.

Factory bracket/support on dash that steering column bolted to broke. Owner welded bracket back on.

Plaintiff should have cut his loss then and there..........but took MH on trip with family from MN to ID...whether he finally just left it (after numerous other failures/break downs)

I have never seen a steering wheel on a MH or car or truck WELDED on. Maybe on a tractor but not a MH.

I seen it and the judge should have given the guy misery money. besides his expens,s.

The buyer that purchased it had rented it out a few times before this guy in the show rented it. Owner said he checked it out when the others brought it back. With all the problems the renter had with this unit, doesn't sound like it was checked out much at all. Renter picked it up at the storage yard.
Owner welded the steering wheel back in! Owner lost the case - had to pay the rentee lots of money for his bad trip. (repairs and stays in motels and rental car). Owner kept saying he wasn't in the 'business' but it sure sounded like it to me - renting it out a few times before @ $140 a day.
