The only unlit pilot that would cause the propane smell would be the stove top - if you have the burners turned on. The water heater, fridge, heater, and oven should have a safety device that closes the propane if the pilot light is not lit (just like with a residential gas stove/heater). So again, if you're smelling propane, something IS leaking.
Newer class Cs tend to be bigger - I think average length is now about 27-32 ft. Older class Cs were often 20-24 ft.
A Class B is basically a van chassis & body with the interior customized for camping/living. A Class C is a van or truck chassis only with a "house" built onto the chassis. If you're exterior is not the actual van exterior, then you have a class C.
Yea, my guess was that maybe the stove was turned on a little? But I will 100% check the system out. I am just not 100% sure how the system is set up. I think it is even possible that the regulator is taken off? It looks like there may be a piece missing but I need to see a complete one to make sure. My tank may not look like the newer tanks I see.
To put everybody at rest... I in NO WAY am going off camping with this before I am 100% on everything. I am day and night reading and watching videos and I am going to do a COMPLETE rebuild of the unit before summer (Including all new electric and plumbing), that should get me up to speed. I just came here to see if I could find somebody with the same model for if I have any specific questions.
