This is how I think. We are Captains of our ship, our RV. In the U. S. Navy, before someone becomes a skipper and Captain of a Nuclear Submarine, they have to know and understand how every system works on a sub. Their knowledge of every system is tested BEFORE the they become skipper of the sub.
We are no different. We might not get the perfection that a Captain of a sub gets, but we will enjoy our RV a lot more if we know how every system works.
How do we learn? Follow my previous post and read every post on RVS like ours including blogs. If you own a Roadtrek which is a class B RV, checkout Meryl and Me. It is one owners contribution to what I am talking about.
Good luck and enjoy,
HEAPIE.
I'm going to X2 on this one. Indeed there are many people who bumble thru life operating cars, trucks, airplanes, boats, owning homes, etc, who know NOTHING about any of the mechanicals of this stuff, or how it works, but things cost them more, break more (due to ignorance of maintenance, ownership and operation), and they are the ones who end up grumbling about the cost of ownership, and the problems of ownership, because they simply don't understand.
