When you are talking about vehicles that are hand made, one of a kind, vehicles, ANYTHING that adds extra man hours and more expensive materials to a project will impact the final selling price.
This does not mean that a more expensive coach is worth more to everyone since those custom items are usually choices made by the buyer to suit their own taste and preferences which will undoubtedly be different than someone elses.
Most people are happy, or have to settle for, off the rack vehicles that are sent down the production line and assembled by workers that may, or may not, have superior skills for their assigned task. In any case, a task must be finished when the clock says it is time to move on to the next vehicle in line.
Most custom vehicles are not built by a strict time schedule and are assembled by more highly skilled, and higher paid, craftsmen.
The cost of a custom vehicle is usually not a concern to someone that wants a vehicle built to their standards.
I restored several Classic Cars to museum quality examples. When I would put them up for auction there were always people willing to pay more than $100,000 for a vehicle that sold originally for around $3000. There are always people that are willing and able to pay for the best and custom RV's are just one example.
