King Sat window mount for class C

Question

I have the King Quest dome sat dome. I see they have done away with the ladder mounts. Has anyone tried the new window mount, it also comes with brackets to mount on side or back of MH. My concerns are the lack of security and also the cabover side shadow that may be cast on the dome preventing reception.

I have a Dish Tailgater.  I have never 'locked' mine and it has never gotten stolen.  As for the window mount, I would think that as long as the portable dish is pointing towards the southern sky, you should have no issues.  If it is pointing towards your RV then you probably will have reception issues.  I downloaded an Android app called Dish Pointer Pro that tells me, via my Smartphone, where the satellites are.
