LA to South Lake Tahoe towing a boat
How is the grade going up I-50 from Sacramento to South Lake Tahoe? I've never been on that highway so I have no idea how steep it is or how tight the curves are. I'd like to tow my boat up there ...

I-50 is pretty curvy highway so you will be limited more by curves and slow vehicles than by grades.
It does have passing lanes every few miles, but with boat you are not likely to use it.
Just take your time and enjoy the scenery. Once you get on the other side, the road is having just couple of pull-outs so observe if you can stop there for picture taking.
