Leaking. Help?

Hi. Camping with a full freshwater tank, but it is now leaking. Water is dripping steadily.

We have a 3170 Forest River Sunseeker.

It's coming from the yellow/tan twist-on piece on the top left. This is in the outside cabinet under the bunk beds.

Pump is off. The valve at the bottom of those hoses is in the shut-off position.

Any other ideas? At this rate, we'll be without water in a day or two with no way to refill.

We're not handy either.

Thanks!

Is it leaking from the threads, or from where the hose attaches to the cap's other side?
  • Looks like it is cross threaded. Remove it and see if it can be threaded on straight.
  • Any idea what this thingy is, or where the pipes connected to it lead to?

Since tightening the yellowish bit didn't help, the next logical step would be to undo it and examining the washer or O ring that (presumably) is supposed to be sealing the connection, check the connector and plastic body of the doohick for cracks, etc. Unfortunately, from the sounds of things, this isn't practical to do with the tank full, unless you can locate some shut-off valve that stops the dripping.
