Leaking Propane Regulator

Question

when you change out the propane regulator with one from the same manufacture and same model number do you have to get the pressure check out are does it come preset?
The old one was leaking at the round head not the fittings.

They are preset to in theory 11 inch column.

Theoretically, they come preset.  You are well advised to check it or get it checked with some appliance load on it.  Matt

Install new regulator.Valve in propane and check for leaks at fittingsTurn on Stove top burners High one at a timeObserve each flame as you light off another oneDO they remain/recover quickly to same  height/intensity?With all of them burning on High are they a good strong/steady blue flame?Now fire off the water heater on propane......If water heater fires off and stove top burners are all good. Regulator OK
