In general, I'd say you are unlikely to get bothered if you are driving sensibly and, otherwise, within the law. But here are a few things to consider:So there you have it. It's a risk you have to evaluate.

- There are times where there are concentrated crackdowns on vehicle length. I've heard of this happening in Daytona Beach during the races when some drivers brought long or otherwise non-compliant trailers in.

This is true. They'd need a few tape measures though. :)
